The masks we wear define us, they drive us, and they blind us.
It allows us to be what we need to be but not what we ought to be.
Designed by our trauma to keep us safe and to keep us secure.
Unfortunately, when that mask comes off all that is left is that trauma...exposed for the world to see...the truth of what lies beneath.
but in all honesty,
I'm not sure what mask I'm wearing anymore....but my self realization is my self destruction...and I'm happy with that.
